Directions Kvidinge
Kristina's parents address is Östra Storgatan 18, Kvidinge. Here is how you get there:
Take E4 towards Stockholm.
Exit towards Åstorp and Kristianstad, road 21 (should take you approx.15-20 min.)
Turn right towards Åstorp
After a few km, you should see a first sign that says "Kvidinge" and will indicate you to turn left. Pass that, and turn left at the second sign for Kvidinge. You should see the famous monument on your left side as you turn.

Dress code
Thank you so much to all of you who bring things like these to our attention!!
So what does formal dress mean? Here are some suggestions.
According to sources, "Formal", can also be called Black Tie Optional or Black Tie Invited which gives you the option of wearing a tuxedo or formal dress, but it should clue you into the formality of the event, meaning a dark suit and tie would be your other option. Women wear cocktail, long dresses or dressy evening separates."
Our idea of formal is the latter, meaning a dark suit and tie for men and as it says above in regards to women.
The Swedish translation of this dress code would be as follows (as cited from DN Mat & Dryck thus the details):
Mörk kostym
Han: Mörk kostym (mörkblå eller mörkt grå, eventuellt modesvart), vit skjorta och sidenslips eller fluga i valfri färg utom svart och vitt, gärna mönstrad.
(Translated: dark suit (navy or dark grey, possibly fashionably black), white shirt and silk tie or bow tie in color of your choice except black or white, preferably patterned)
Hon: Fin kvällsklänning av siden, sammet eller annat utpräglat aftonfint tyg. En elegant byxdress, eller kvällskjol med jacka eller överdel i samma finhetsgrad går lika bra.
(Translated: Nice (KM comment: sure, as if you'd pick something NOT nice!!) evening dress of silk, velvet or other typical fabric for evening dresses. An elegant suit, or evening skirt with a jacket or top i the same level of niceness (??) is equally fine.
These are some explanations, but seriously: we don't care if your dress is made of silk or if your tie is patterned! We promise, the source from DN was from this year..!
Use these explanations as guidelines, but don't take them literally!

Welcome!
Welcome to Sweden! If you are flying in from afar, the easiest way to get here is to fly to Copenhagen. Although Copenhagen is in Denmark, it is very smooth to get to Helsingborg from Copenhagen. You can either take a train towards Gothenburg, and experience the bridge connecting Denmark and Sweden. Or you can take a train going towards Helsingør, and catch a ferry from Helsingør to Helsingborg. Either way will take you approx.1h15-1h30 min.
If you have decided to rent a car, you can choose to go in either direction as well. Crossing the bridge is quicker, it will only take you about 1 hr, whereas if you decide to drive along the coast (look for Strandvejen) towards Helsingør, that is a beautifully panoramic little trip, but will take you a little bit longer
If you are already in Sweden and driving from the north, the highways (E6 coming from the west or E4 coming from the east) will take you straight to Helsingborg.
Those of you who are coming from Denmark, probably already know which way is the best, whether by train or by car, but if not, we recommend the same two routes to you as to our guests from other places than Sweden or Denmark.
There is a 20-minute drive from the church to the reception site, so if you do not have transportation for that part, let us know.
Here are some useful numbers once you get to Helsingborg or just to get hold of any of us (country code for Sweden is 46):
0435-448694 Tina's parents house
042-148636 Magnus mother's house
Cell phone #1: 070-5481371
Cell phone #2: +1 910 514 8006 (Magnus US cell)
See you soon!

Wish list
We have received a few questions in regards to our wish list! We hadn't even thought about that, we just wished for you to be there! However, we appreciate that you bring our attention to these important matters!
We have registered at:
Crate & Barrel www.crateandbarrel.com
(click Registry and search for Natt och Dag)
If you use one of our registry-lists, you make our life easy as they will ship directly to our home. As we are travelling, we are challenged in regards to how much luggage we can bring with us and even more important, we may risk ruining something fragile.
If you prefer not to use any of our registry-lists, here is an alternative wish-list: (still in progress)
- Bedding (with duvet covers) in neutral, harmonious colours
- Anything from Svenskt Tenn in the series "Manhattan" (including a yard or two of the fabric!)
- Anything from Mölle Krukmakeri
- Cognac glasses
- a serious wine opener
- Kitchen towels
- Watering can
- Kosta Boda Mine Tumblers in white
Where to stay
Helsingborg is at its best during the summer! The entire town comes alive and has a lot of activities and fun things to do and see. We hope that you will be able to spend a few days in Helsingborg and enjoy this Pearl by the Sound! Below you will find a list of hotels, that we recommend. The first one, Hotel Maria, is located opposite the church and is a smaller, very charming hotel. The other hotels listed are more traditional hotels, all, like Hotel Maria, located in the town center and within walking distance from the church.
Hotels:
The reception will be held in Ängelholm, approximately 30 min. drive from Helsingborg going north-west along the coast. Klitterhus is also a small hotel and has 14 rooms. There are a few rooms available at Klitterhus. If you wish to stay there, mention that you are part of the Natt och Dag-wedding - otherwise they will tell you there are no vacancies for the 17th.
Please do not hesitate to let us know if there is anything we can do to help you make reservations or other tips in regards to your stay. We are so happy that you are planning this trip and are on your way to our Big Day!
